As the days get shorter and holiday décor fills the shelves – and Black Friday sales flyers fill my mailbox – I’m reflecting on the past year, anticipating the adventures 2022 might bring and thinking of loved ones, near and far. There is so much to be thankful for, especially this community. I’m so glad you’re here!
Always, and especially this time of year, I am filled with deep gratitude and admiration for our clients. I carry their stories close to my heart and will never forget the wisdom they’ve imparted during our time together. In turn, I hope that the lessons and tools I’ve shared continue to make a positive difference in their lives.
Today I would like to share some of those lessons with you…
Don’t wait to tell someone special you love them.
Don’t wait to enjoy your favorite dessert.
Don’t wait to raise a glass and make a heartfelt toast.
Don’t wait to read that special book sitting on your bookshelf.
Don’t wait to have your yearly physical.
Don’t wait to play your favorite album on your record player.
Don’t wait to install grab bars in the bathroom.
Don’t wait to bake your favorite cookies.
Don’t wait to discard unsafe area rugs.
Don’t wait to use your beautiful china.
Don’t wait to review the contents of your safety deposit box.
Don’t wait to go for a walk and hold hands with a loved one.
Don’t wait to try something new.
Don’t wait to update or create your will and living will.
Don’t wait to discuss thoughts on your funeral arrangements with a loved one.
Don’t wait to wear your pearl necklace or gold cuff links.
Don’t wait to ask a friend for a ride because you no longer feel safe driving.
Don’t wait to tell family and friends you’re lonely.
Don’t wait to ask for help.
Live your life to its fullest and embrace each day with a thankful heart. The best is yet to come.
Wishing you and yours a safe, fun and happy Thanksgiving holiday!
With gratitude,
Colleen
